Dr. Michael Horowitz is a proud member of the BC Chiropractic association. Chiropractic is a health care discipline and profession that emphasizes diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine, under the hypothesis that these disorders affect general health via the nervous system located in BC with a formal organization of people and groups of people.
The BC Chiropractic association is located in Richmond, BC, Canada. Membership to the BC Chiropractic Association is optional but if you are a member you automatically become a member of the CCA - the Canadian Chiropractic Association.
Chiropractic is generally considered to be complementary and alternative medicine. The main treatment involves manual therapy including adjustments of the spine, other joints, and soft tissue; treatment also includes exercises and health and lifestyle counselling. Traditional chiropractic sees that a vertebral subluxation or spinal joint dysfunction interferes with the body's function and its innate intelligence.
