Dr. Michael Horowitz

thumb Dr. Michael Horowitz is a 2000 graduate of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto, Canada. After briefly practicing in North York, Ontario, he relocated to Vancouver where he spent close to a year working with Bio-Med, SISU vitamin supplements, and athletic enhancement products. Dr. Michael's Undergraduate Studies are in Biology and Kinesiology at York University which had an emphasis on Fitness Assessment and Exercise Counseling.

In Vancouver Dr. Horowitz has been building two practices; Vancouver Orthotic Clinics & Hycroft Chiropractic & Massage. Educating the community about foot alignment and of well-adjusted spines. Both practices are in the Hycroft Medical Building, located at 114-3195 Granville Street, at on the north/west corner of 16th Avenue in Vancouver.

Dr. Horowitz puts the emphasis on Biomechanics while treating the source, not just the symptoms. He combined custom orthotic therapy, chiropractic manual techniques, nutritional support, stress management, soft tissue massage, and spinal adjustments towards the goal of freeing up stress to the feet, spine and nervous system.

His offering at these outreach events is conducting postural, foot and spinal evaluations. Fitness World, Fortis BC, Function Health Club are some of the groups he has participated in group corporate health initiatives.

"My role as a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) is to diagnose and treat imbalances of the spine, feet, muscles, and nervous system. Chiropractic is a hands-on, safe and effective option for treating aches and pains within the body. My goal is to educate and grow a community of well-adjusted spines from the feet up with an emphasis on wellness and prevention of chronic back pain. Balance, posture and flexibility of the spine are paramount. Maximizing human health potential through regulating the nervous system and its influence on the body is the key service I offer my patients".

Dr. Michael Horowitz has a special interest in foot related issues and how they respond with the use of custom orthotic inserts. Occupational strain & postural imbalances, sports injuries, ICBC claims, MVA (motor vehicle accident), whiplash, headaches, neck pain, back pain, sciatica, disc injuries and degenerative arthritis, are also conditions commonly treated in his office.

Dr. Horowitz has been a Member of BNI (Business Network International) and has sat as President several times with BNI's Fast Forward and BNI's Bottom Line. Business Network International has helped him become a better business owner, entrepreneur, public speaker, leader and team member. He believes fully in the Giver's Gain Philosophy. He is a member of the Canadian Chiropractic Association, The Canadian Chiropractic Protective  Association, the British Columbia Chiropractic Association and is in good standing with the BC College of Chiropractors.
