Dr. Michael Horowitz's Stretch of the Day Series

Stretch of the Day:

  • The Chest-Door-Frame Stretch! Standing perpendicular to a wall with arm at shoulder height, place the palm of one hand up against the wall with thump pointing to the sky. Rotate the body away from the wall as you feel a gentle chest and shoulder stretch. Hold for 15-seconds. Repeat on the other side, 3-times and throughout the day. This stretch stimulates blood flow to your Pectoral & Deltoid muscles, an area that holds a lot of tension. This stretch is great at reducing neck, shoulder & chest tension caused by long hours of sitting in front of computers, reading or writing.
