ICBC Logo Vancouver Chiropractic, Massage, AcupunctureIf you’ve recently been in a motor vehicle accident, or MVA, you may be experiencing a set of soft tissue injuries. What is a soft tissue injury? A soft tissue injury is the damage of either muscles, ligaments, or tendons within the body. This term essentially covers any injury other than that bone or organ related.

Low Back Pain.jpgDid you know that if you have an active ICBC claim in Vancouver, you are entitled to receive the best possible care for your soft tissue injuries? These are called Part 7 Benefits and include services such as chiropractic, massage, physiotherapy, acupuncture and active rehabilitation. Dr. Michael Horowitz is a registered participant in the ICBC Chiropractic Treatment Program, and this means if you or a family member has been in a motor vehicle accident, you are able to receive chiropractic treatments with him at no direct cost to you. Benefits to receiving chiropractic treatment for injuries sustained during a motor vehicle accident include faster recovery time, reduced pain, and improvement in muscle and joint function. Chiropractic care will reduce pain and help increases a patient's spine function. This can lead to a decrease in pain medication, improved quality of life and shorter rehabilitation period. All of that with minimal paperwork for you, no out-of-pocket payments (because we will direct bill ICBC), and no ongoing approval process with ICBC.
